Ashy Slashy: Queen of Halloween "Trick R' Treat, lick my feet"

Trick R' Treat, lick my feet, I'll give ya something good to eat... Wait a minute.. that's not right 🤔..
Wassup my boils and ghouls?! Who else loves October? Why wasn't I born in this month? Dammit mother! Anywho.. do you binge watch horror movies? Given I binge watch horror all year long, I know sometimes you creeps only do it for October, but since we discussing horror: have ya figured out your costume yet?
You haven't?! You slacker! For shame!!... I kid. Mostly.
1.. 2.. I'm coming for you..

So, I've had many ask me what is my favorite horror movie of all time & who is my favorite slasher. I thought it was a given: A Nightmare On Elm Street & Freddy Krueger.  Now I know Mr. Krueger isn't exactly an easy costume to tackle, with those blasphemous masks that are nightmare worthy themselves... I'm going to help YOU become everyone's favorite child killer!
First things first: if you want to do make-up instead of the ridiculous masks, it's actually easy! All you'll need is the following:
• Liquid Latex
• Red, Flesh tone pink, Brown & Black eyeshadows
• Body Paint Red (optional)
• Fake Blood (optional)
Now liquid latex isn't as complicated as people make it out to be and it's also not hard to find. You can usually find it at Halloween stores, but you can also find it at Party City or online. Your burns don't have to be accurate to Krueger himself, unless you go set yourself on fire, but I highly don't recommend..
So, with the liquid latex:
Step 1: With either using a make-up tool or your fingers, start applying the latex on your face, neck, and depending how low your sweater goes, chest. Avoid eyes and mouth. Once the latex dries, do this step at least 3 more times. For eyebrows, now I can tell you how to block eyebrows, but considering I have yet to master this technique, you might have to YouTube it. Completely optional. Or you could just get your Freddy glove and slice your eyebrows off? Who needs eyebrows...
Step 2: Once you got the latex good and thick (that's what she said) quite literally start rubbing random areas with your finger (or with a make-up tool) until you start creating holes within the latex. Now be careful doing this or you'll just end up having to be set on fire.
Your latex should look something like this (minus the eyeshadow):

*From my Ouija Possessed Make-up*
Step 3: When you have the open areas on your face good and ready, start applying red eyeshadow into the inside of the holes you just created. Around the holes, lightly apply the pink. With the brown, go around the inside edges lightly. With the black, do the same thing you did with the brown, but be careful not to make it too dark. I know this sounds complicated, but it's not as complicated as the CGI disaster they did on Jackie in the stab-a-teenager remake.
Step 4: So basically with the eyeshadows, you're creating the appearance of the burns. There's no right or wrong way of doing this. Now with your eyes, use the red and brown eyeshadow, but if you want, you can do beauty make-up. It's completely up to you
Now, once you have gotten the make-up to your liking, it's time for your Christmas sweater, your hipsters-made-it-popular fedora, your blades for days glove, and you're ready to go on a teenager slashing spree! But beware of their fire happy parents.. and Jason of course.

I hope this helps you become the dream demon we all know you can be!
Pleasant Nightmares, my bitches!

Boo Batter Cold Stone Cremery Jet Black Halloween Ice Cream

So I am one of those assholes that will try anything that these companies put out that is black colored.  Yes I'm that dude..  Black Whopper?  Sure I'll throw that down my gullet..  Gimme 2 and I'll wash it down with your black cherry icee.  DONE!  So when Cold Stone Cremery came out with their self described "BOOLICIOUS" Boo Batter ice cream I had to try it.

My friend got the last of their Halloween Oreos..  The bitch..  But really the orange filling doesn't taste anything different than the regular ones so the only difference was aesthetics.  I got mine in one of their orange bowl cone thingies..  I normally don't go to Cold Stone so I was dumb and got the "I Love it!" which ended up being waaaaay too much ice cream for me.  Now..  On to the taste!

This was fresh off the press not one bite taken yet..
This was like spooning pure sugar into my mouth hole mixed with random bites of Kit Kat, M&M and Oreo..  I normally like all of those ingredients but when you just huck them into a pile of sugary cement colored ice cream it doesn't make for a good experience.  The color above is pretty spot on it's a little more bluish grey but yeah..  I'll post pictures so you can see.

My friend loved this ice cream..  But she also was on a huge sugar high after..  Let's just say I had to hear "baby shark" way too much.  Was this worth the money and experience?  Sure!  I'll try anything once!  Will I try it again?  NOPE!  It's just waaaaaay too sugary for me.  I'd rather go with like a Mint chocolate chip or something similar.  Oh well!!  Apparently it's just their cake batter ice cream dyed black but whatever!  Worth a try!
Now we are getting artsy with the Boo Batter soup..
Got bored so started messing with the now soft shell..
Maybe we can find some dinosaurs stuck in this oil pit?

Ashy Slashy: Queen of Halloween - "It's the most wonderful time of the year"

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..."

Who else wants to go pumpkin picking, coffee tasting, go on a slashing spree?! Okay maybe not the pumpkin picking..

So Halloween (the Holiday where chicks are sexy nuns and dudes can walk around with boners) is almost upon us! I get asked every year what I'm going to be for Halloween and majority of the time I'm just myself thanks to life (but hey with a face like mine who needs a costume!) And every year I get asked to help others with costume and make-up ideas. So that's what we'll be discussing today: ideas for Halloween.

Now while most aim for humor & the whole sex factor, I like to dabble in the "oh my fuck why is this bitch possessed" category. With that in mind, you can turn any costume into sexy if you really put your mind to it! I have faith in you.
Take Pinhead for example: Terrifying to some, sexy to others. Warning: Weird Boner Alert.
Regan: I mean who WOULDN'T want to have sexy pea soup vomit?
Pennywise: Because we all float...
Now if these characters are too extreme for your liking, you could always go to being a demon, sexy vampire, or even a Bride!
Halloween is fun, so creating a character should be fun! Who cares what others think or do, there is no right or wrong way of doing Halloween! (Unless you don't celebrate then you can just go fuck yourself... But who am I to judge?! Oh wait, I'm the Queen of this holiday! I can judge!)

Don't be too hard on yourself, don't compare your costume to others, and most of all: Have fun! No matter what you choose to be, always remember this- most people will be too drunk to remember anyway, including you.

Creep it real-

Ashy Slashy Queen of Halloween's First Post!

I originally was going to title this post "What's my name, bitch", but remembered I'm not Freddy Krueger no matter how many times I say that word. With that being said, ello' I'm Ash, also known by Ash Von Horror and Ash Slaughter.
So let me fill you in on a few things about myself. I'm a 31 year old professional weirdo who likes expressing myself with make-up. Brief enough, yes? And that's why I'm here, to discuss the lovely world that is SFX/Make-up.

I've been doing make-up as a hobby for about 10 years now. I love everything about it, love that you can do just about anything with it. Create characters, recreate icons, scare the mortals.. ya know, the fun stuff.

I tend to get a lot of questions about my process, how do I come up with ideas, etc, so I'm going to do my best to answer some of those questions right now!
Where do you come up with ideas?
- Sometimes friends will send me artwork to try to recreate my own take. Sometimes it's literally random and I'm winging it as I go. Sometimes I want to recreate characters that are interesting. Sometimes I want to challenge myself.

What's your favorite make-up you've done so far?
- I actually don't have a particular favorite, but I am rather proud of some of my make- ups. Pinhead (Hellraiser) & Julie (Return of the Living Dead 3) I'm most proud of.
What inspires you?
- Horror. Horror is my life, my love, my soulmate. I embrace horror, cherish it.

What's more difficult: Beauty or SFX?
- Beauty. I don't know why, but for me it's more difficult.

And if you ever have any questions, hit me up! I'm always willing to help others, especially in the world of make-up. Anything that encourages people to express their art? I'm your biggest supporter. Well, I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings and I'll be here coming up with more ideas for you guys!
