http://gorenoirmagazine.bigcartel.com/product/faux-nes-color-cartridge-splatter-8gb-usb-gun-loaded

*UPDATE*  These go up tomorrow!  Price will be $50 plus shipping.  Remember this includes $67 worth of digital issues (including a 4 issue digital subscription for future issues) and exclusive interviews you won't hear anywhere else.  You also get the really rad clear green or red Faux NES cartridge.  Which after doing some research might not be manufactured ever again.  YEP this might be your only chance to get one.  Only 4 of the red have been made with our label and only 3 of the green have been made and MIGHT NEVER BE MADE AGAIN.  The company we sourced them from emailed back saying they have no plans to make more.  That makes these RARE.  I'm hoping they start making them again but he didn't sound positive at all in the email.  You also get the cool USB Gun which will be blood splattered by hand with cool red paint.  This is a 8GB USB so you can use that for all your files and carry them around with you.  It's pretty cool in and of itself.  Remember only 7 of these colored NES cartridges were made.  I'm keeping one for myself.. One went to Obscuri and 5 will be available to all you guys tomorrow at 2PM-ish.

Hello to all of you out there in Goreland!  This project has been in the works for awhile and it's exciting to actually put these up for sale! This is a great way for all of you to get all of our back issues (minus the special B&W issues including coffin issues).  You get digital copies of issue 1-12 (issue 1 only available digitally through this package) and our Sick & Depraved issue!  This package is for ages 18+ as it does contain nudity and all that other good stuff.

No this isn't an actual game.  What you get in the package is the transparent green or red NES cartridge complete with a special label created by us to look similar to the NES cartridge.  The art features a photo by Obscuri Photography and you'll also find images on the USB from Obscuri as well.  You'll also find a whole episode of Forever Midnight Podcast along with a trailer for Death Museum's photographer and some images from Death Museum as well (another reason why this is 18+ as these images are DARK AND AWESOME!)

What else do you get in this package?  We've included some images of our previous shoots along
with some of our logos so you can throw those up on your websites stick em on your phones or whatever you want to do with them.  Exclusive to this USB you'll get audio interviews with awesome folks like:  Greg Nicotero (Walking Dead), Lloyd Kaufman (Troma), Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead, etc.), A Nameless Ghoul from Ghost, Barney from Napalm Death, and Beefcake of Gwar.  This is the only way to hear some of these interviews in their entirety (or at all).

WAIT!  That's not all!!  There will only be 5 of these available in this first batch and depending on how they sell we might make more available.  Max we're looking at is around 18 pcs total.  So not only do you get 13 digital issues you'll also get a FREE DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION for another 4 issues.  That's a total of 17 digital issues included for the price (will be determined later).  Each issue we sell for $3.99 each so that's $67 worth of value right off the bat.  This all comes preloaded on a 8GB USB "GUN" which you can reuse to put all your files on for the future.  A cool way to bring your Gore Noir Magazine stuff with you and all your other dirty files.

We will be adding more details to this post as they come, which will include price and some other things we're doing like actual pictures of the USB "Gun".  Stay tuned!  These will be available Saturday March 7th at roughly 2PM.  DON'T MISS OUT ON BEING ONE OF THE FIRST TO GET ONE!  Also up until these go up for sale we have a 30% OFF SALE!  Hit the store:  www.gorenoirmagazine.bigcartel.com and put in coupon code "SPOOPY" to get 30% OFF your whole order!!

Alien Outpost A FIlm by Jabbar Raisani

ALIEN OUTPOST A FILM BY JABBAR RAISANI

I was lucky enough to get a screener through our network the Crypt TV people.  If you haven't checked out the Crypt app download it now it's a cool way to meet people in the horror community.  Anyway IFC midnight supplied the screener and I was on my way!  I hadn't heard anything through the grapevine about the film so the only things that supplied any sort of expectations were the poster (left) and a still or two I saw of the film.  With the word "Alien" in the name I'm automatically expecting firefights between humans and some Alien creatures.  What I wasn't expecting was the documentary style that Alien Outpost is shot in, and it really works for building the audiences attachment to the characters.  This movie is more about the characters and less of a Richard Bay effects and explosion shit-fest.

My only gripe is that we weren't allowed to get a good look at the Alien foot-soldiers that the characters refer to as "heavies".  These are big hulking humanoid aliens that were dropped down onto earth to take things over.  That plan didn't work and the humans were able to fight back the invasion and the mother ship left, leaving a bunch of these heavies on earth for us humans to deal with.  This "Alien Outpost" is in an area of Earth where there is still some "Heavy" activity and many people are in the belief that there will be a second attempt at an invasion.  Cause I mean Earth is really fuckin' rad who wouldn't want to take this shit over right?
If you're a fan of documentary style, war movies, some alien aspects, and some cool fire fights this would be a good movie to check out.  Me, Myself, I have this condition called A.D.D. so it was hard for me to stay interested in certain parts of the story where it lags a bit.  But that's not the movie's fault that's just nature and needing to be bombarded by blood, guts, and craziness at all times, or else my mind's going somewhere else.  I really liked the characters, the aliens weren't all that badly designed and kudos to the creators for actually making a practical suit for the Heavies!  It could have been real easy for them to just go CGI for that.

Have you seen the 'Dark Summer' trailer yet?

Dark Summer is a paranormal film by Paul Solet, put out by IFC Midnight.  I'm not a huge fan of paranormal films..  I'll just get that out in the open.  Dark Summer however, feels a bit different than your average Paranormal flick.  It's a lot darker and more devilish just from the look of it.  The films premise is definitely a departure from a lot of the demonic possession films that we've seen running rampant lately and I'm definitely glad it's not another POV found footage nugget.  They unfortunately (hint hint next time?) didn't grace me with a screener so I can only guess on most of this by the trailer but the one thing I know is that I'll give it a watch just for the hell of it.  I mean who can pass up a red eyed chick handing you her heart right?  I'll take your heart lady don't you worry..

The film is available on VOD, iTunes, and theatrical release right now so why not check it out?  Read below for a synopsis if you're still on the fence.

SYNOPSIS:  "DARK SUMMER combines the supernatural terror of classic horrors THE SHINING and POLTERGEIST, with the tension and modern cool of DISTURBIA. Summer is a time to relax, unwind, take a vacation, and be free. But 17 year old Daniel Austin gets none of that because his obsessive online stalking of his classmate and crush, Mona Wilson, got him put on house arrest for the whole summer. So, no cell phone, no Internet, no leaving the property, and especially no Mona. Then Daniel’s single mother has to go on a long business trip, and Daniel has the place to himself.

Daniel figures out a way to piggyback onto his neighbors’ wireless signal and, believing he’s surfing off the grid, uses his time to check in on his friends – and Mona... But what Daniel didn’t expect is for Mona to check up on him. And what she does next shakes him to his very core."

Horror Holiday Shopping Guide 2014

We all know (or we should know) how important it is to support the smaller companies and artists, right? This is even more important around this time of year when we all go on insane retail frenzies. IF you (or someone you know) is that strange kid that likes weird things, well then here are a few small companies that you should throw your money at. Almost everyone on this list is ALSO having some sort of black Friday/cyber Monday/small business Saturday sale, so you’re welcome!

***I DID ONE OF THESE LAST YEAR!!! Click HERE to see it!!!! I repeated some companies from last year, but I tried to add a lot of new ones, too. This list isn’t going to be as long as last years, sorry. I HOPE it goes without saying that the coupon codes from LAST YEAR’S POST no longer work, right? Guys? Are you listening to me?...ugh...***

I’m starting out this list with a few of what I would consider high end splurges. These are for your very special someones. Hey...High end may mean something different for you, but I’m looking at things that are near/over the $100 mark. Maybe that is chump change for you...If so, good job, Richard Branson.

Global Fear Enterprises
GFE is a high end costume company that caters to the haunt industry. Unique, creepy creatures are what you will find here. Since these impeccable costumes are made by hand by just a couple of guys, the price tag is hefty. Lucky for you they have a sale going on for just $666. That's cute, guys.

Bloodmilk Jewelry
I have been lusting over blood milk for years. The pieces are beautiful, and reading the artist’s inspiration stories about each peace is fascinating. There are new designs popping up all of the time, but the old classics are always still available. With most designs come options of different materials and finishes. High polish, rose gold, sterling silver, moonstone, black CZ, labradorite, just to name a select few.

Contrived to Charm
Another lustful company. Beautiful hand tooled leather goods with that creepy theme we all love. Stunning belts and bootstaps, and even custom cases for your tarot deck. (OR for your Magic cards. Who doesn’t love Magic the Gathering?)

www.contrivedtocharm.etsy.com

Stan Winston School
If someone on your list is interested in special effects makeup, practical effects, character design, prop making, puppetry, illustration/portraiture, model making, scuplting, etc...etc...etc...Then you might want to think about buying them a subscription, DVD, or enrolling them in a live web course on the topic. The Stan Winston school has a huge, jaw dropping, team of instructors on their roster. This is a great option for people who want to take classes, but don’t live in a place that has a school or workshops.

Middle Of Beyond
Home of the Mondo 237 collaboration collection, which is sold out...as Mondo things tend to be. Also home to those silly Krampus, and Baphomet, and Cthulu, and Big Foot, and...and....AND other sweaters you’ve no doubt seen all over the internet. Lucky for you they are also having a wacky 666 sale. What fun!? $66.60 Baphomet sweater, and a $6.66 Baphomet ornament, so you can all be blasphemous in the most festive way possible.

http://middleofbeyond.com/

Ghoulish Gary Pullin
Gary is both an amazing artist and an amazing person. He has worked with Rue Morgue and Mondo for years now creating beautifully detailed horror art. Gary has a variety of different kinds of prints in different sizes available on his site. Prices range from around $100-$10, so you should be able to work within your budget no matter the size.

Kreepsville 666
One of my all time favorite brands. I write about them often, and fondly, because a large portion of my wardrobe is made up of kreepsville. I absolutely adore the owners of this brand! Two of the best people you will ever meet. Kreepsville offers men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, along with a ton of awesome accessories and even some home goods and art prints!

www.kreepsville666.com/

Pizza Party Printing
Aside from the fact that their name is PIZZA PARTY PRINTING, these guys are killer. I love the style of their graphics, and the shirts are always really soft. Good quality printing, but be warned...The shirts tend to run a bit small. You may want to order up a size. They also offer patches, prints, and a few other bits. Check it!
www.pizzapartyprinting.com

London 1888
Our buddy Christopher Ott is the artist behind london 1888. He needs little explanation, and I’m sure you’ve probably met him at a horror con. Prints, and shirts (both men’s and women’s) with all of your favorite horror icons, and a few mashups as well.

www.london1888.com

Atomic Cotton
I love these people. More convention buddies. Colorful and high contrast is Erica’s style. Their printing is so nice that your shirt will fade over time, but the print will still look brand new. Erica does many of the designs, but they also collaborate with other artists. Recently they’ve begun printing select graphics on “ladies” cut T’s which is always nice for us tiny folk. Also check out their Etsy page for more fun hand made items all all kinds.

Fright Rags
I heard tell of a Black Friday sale, but have yet to see any fliers or codes. This company is cool for a few reasons. They do limited print runs, BUT they allow customer to vote on sold out designs for reprints. If you miss out on a print, you still have a chance. The are one of the few horror T companies that offer “women’s” sizes. I so appreciate that since I’m not big on boxy sacks....No offense to the “unisex only brands”

Cavity Colors
Woo! Cavity colors is one of my favorites right now. Vivid explosions of blood, ooze, and sinew on cotton and paper. Aaron sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, prints, originals, sketches, and more.

Horror Decor
...As the name states...they sell handmade horror decor. Pillows, candles, place mats, pot holders, and more.

http://horrordecor.net/

Horror Merch
Also pretty self explanatory! Their inventory seems limitless. The seriously have it all! Shoes, toys, shirts, dresses, masks, blah blah blah! Check them out! There is usually some kind of sale, or BOGO deal on their site.

Here is a small handful of other macabre merchants to consider:

The Dark Crystal figures lost toy line

Growing up in the 80's was definitely interesting.  What made it more interesting was all of the amazing pop culture surrounding you at the time.  One of the best things to come out of pop culture was The Dark Crystal which was a brainchild of Jim Henson.  At such a young age I was in awe of the world that The Dark Crystal transports you into, which is complete with creatures of all shapes and sizes.  I remember falling in love with the Skeksis and their minions the spidery buglike Garthim.  It was definitely love at first sight.

Now that I'm "all growed ups" I still love the Dark Crystal material just as much if not more than when I was a kid, as now I can look back with nostalgia in heart and a pocket full of grown up cash that I want to spend on those tokens of nostalgia.  Like any grown up kid I still collect toys and.. Yes comic books as well and.. Shit..  I'm just going to say that I'm probably even more of a kid today than I was when I was 5.  The only difference is a little bit of facial hair and a regular job that doesn't involve taking apart things in the house (I still do that).
Jen complete with card

What would be more enticing than a toy line featuring one of my favorite movies from when I was a child?  Look no further!  Apparently a toy company called Aviva actually had plans to make a toy line of out the Dark Crystal material and went so far as to make an initial set of the toys including mock ups and cards.. The whole nine.  These prototypes fetch a pretty penny on the toy market and there's not very many of them.  One persons count of prototypes including card would come in at about 12 total.  That person is Justin Kerns who I found on the Rebel Scum forums and who was gracious enough to allow me to repost his photos from his collection.

There's also been rumors that Funko who has been hitting the toy world hard with it's Reaction figures, might be looking to make a Dark Crystal toy line.  We're hoping that they take EXACTLY what you see on this page and make it a mass-produced reality.  Here's also to hoping they create and Augra play set complete with her planetary lair.  Take a look around at all the images and feel free to click on them to get a closer look.

My favorite part of this set is the "build a" dark crystal part.  Each figure came with part of the Dark Crystal and when you collected them all the fit together to make the crystal itself.  Man what I wouldn't give to have all of those..  Oh and let's add a Skeksis castle playset on as well.  Fuck it right?  While we're at it..  I've seen a Lego Dark Crystal playset online as well.  It was in the Lego Cuuso section where people can upload their ideas and if it gets enough votes it becomes a reality.  This was how the Back to the Future and Ghostbusters Lego sets became a "thing".  Lets have a Skeksis castle and let's make those damn Lego Dark Crystal sets!  Please!?!  I need more nostalgia in my life and I need more things to blow my money on that sit around my house for no one but my cats and I to look at.  GOT IT?  Oh and I'd be tempted to open up all these pristine packages just to put the Dark Crystal together..  Watch all the collector fanboys cry while I'm doing it.  Don't worry I'd post it to YouTube!  You can check out the original forum post here: http://forum.rebelscum.com/t982892/ and thank Justin Kerns for all these amazing photos.
